CCSU Finance Association Stock Market Competition 

CCSU Finance Association is hosting their first ever Central Connecticut State University Stock Market Competition. The Spring 2026 competition is open to all students; you do not have to be in the Finance Association or School of Business to participate. It is free to register. 

Prizes:

1st Place – $300 Amazon gift card

2nd Place – $200 Amazon gift card

3rd Place – $100 Amazon gift card

Official Rules:

Students must be currently enrolled at Central Connecticut State University for the Spring 2026 semester.  

Students are allowed only one entry with their active Central email address. If declared a winner, students must show proof of enrollment before receiving the prize amount. 

Registration will open Monday, February 16th, 2026, and close on Saturday, February 28th, 2026. Trading will begin at the time you register, through Friday, May 15th, 2026.  

Starting Cash: $1,000,000 

Trades per week: No minimum or maximum requirement (unlimited) 

% limit invested in any one security: 20% 

Products traded: Stocks, ETFs, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Options, Spots, Futures, and Future Options (we are open to everything) 

Day Trading, Short Selling, and Buying on Margin are allowed.  

To qualify as a winner, participants must align with the following requirements: 

  • Have a positive return on their portfolio which is greater than the starting cash balance of $1,000,000. 
  • Placed a minimum of 5 trades during the competition.  
  • Placed a minimum of one trade per calendar month of the competition (February, March, April, May). 
  • Provide a valid phone number and respond within 72 hours of winner notification. 
  • Provide proof of enrollment at Central Connecticut State University. 
  • Participants must complete all requirements to be eligible for winner declaration, those who do not will be disqualified, and winners will be awarded in descending order. 
  • StockTrak Inc. shall be the final authority with respect to winners, awards, and distribution of prizes.  
  • StockTrak’s audit team will declare the winner 7 days after the competition ends.
