She works as a first officer for a feeder airline. Julie has recently received a gift of $50,000 USD from her grandparents as a graduation gift. She is an avid stock market buff since her college days and intends to use her banks brokerage app to build herself an aggressive portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bf96664a0aef2dc9242c197c82b31a3f\">Build an aggressive portfolio of your choice of any asset types on all of the following US Exchanges including the AMEX, NYSE and NASDAQ. Options trade on the CBOE exchange in Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3b16345d136bd5022241a2aad8abdf96\" style=\"color:#00447c\"><strong>Rules<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-48d4a30a11d86cfcfe87c069b47e9ed8\">You have&nbsp;<strong>$50,000 USD&nbsp;<\/strong>to work with.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-555f7553cc9113a3f4fc2dcdffe91dd2\">A position limit of 10% for Equities, 5% for Mutual Funds, 5% for Options and 5 % of Crypto will be maintained as the maximum that anyone can invest in a security type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f8f672b3e82e1362babb013808f1dcc6\">A diversification limit rule of 40% as the maximum that anyone can invest in an Asset type<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-da549b19d92836e0d6499e272c193866\">Asset types that are available include- US Stocks, US ETFs, US Options and Crypto currency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-aabba2c8245175de013748f0e42aa855\">You will be graded on the Sharpe Ratio to be declared a winner.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6cfcdf5f33ce5782f9e058076cd4f9c7\">No day trading, short selling and or margin trading is permitted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-adae79a712459ae1f95b86afa8d43dd1\">Participants have a maximum of 75 trades their disposal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f957033f4a3a46e0f01cbe8bb001ae4c\">You must have trading activity in every month of the competition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9f9b13ebc5eca98ee36f4b3de7ac0d8b\" style=\"color:#00447c;font-size:11px\"><strong>*US Stocks and ETFs trade at real-time bid ask with a 15-minute delayed quote displayed in EDT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9812580d39ad02486f6c61a70d7e2fa7\" style=\"color:#00447c;font-size:11px\"><strong>*US Mutual Funds trade at end of day pricing EDT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-fcd356549450233ec2e7881a689693f7\" style=\"color:#00447c;font-size:11px\"><strong>*Crypto \u2013 Real-time bid ask with a 15-minute delayed quote displayed trades 24 hours a day.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#00447c\"><strong>Eligibility, Registrations, Important Dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f1fa9ead3138cfba7300e69852589483\">\n<li>The challenge is free and open to all junior and senior BSc students and all MSc students currently completing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Engineering, Mathematics, or a general passion for Finance and capital markets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students may only enter the competition once with <strong>an active Cal Poly SLO \/ Elon University \/ Villanova University \/ Youngstown University <\/strong>email address. Student will need a proof of enrollment if declared a winner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students may enroll as an Individual or Team with max 3 persons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Registration opens<\/strong> 9am (EST) on Monday, September 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2025 and closes at 11:59 PM EST on Friday, September 14<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Competition begins<\/strong> at 9am (EST) on Monday, September 22<sup>nd<\/sup>, 2025 and will run through 11:59 PM EST on Friday, November 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All participants will be required to use the website\u2019s Trade Notes feature to document their decisions for making their trades.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The top 5 Teams\/Individuals will be notified and will run a final presentation of their portfolio at a FactSet Office with our experienced Sales and Consulting individuals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be declared a winner, participants MUST\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Be an active student at Cal Poly SLO \/ Elon University \/ Villanova University \/ Youngstown University <\/strong>and registered with correspondent email address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a positive portfolio return of greater than their $50,000 USD beginning cash balance provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Placed a minimum of 40 trades during the event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must have placed trades in September, October, and November.
