The purpose of this event is to shine light on the pressing need for financial literacy, savings, and investing education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The challenge\u2019s top 3 student winners will be awarded as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1st Prize =  $4,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2nd Prize = $3,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3rd Prize =  $2,000    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners will be determined based on their overall positive portfolio performance, following the rules, and timely completion of the built-in Personal Finance curriculum.&nbsp; See the Official Rules Below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the button below to register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-black-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stocktrak.com\/members\/register?session=MorganState\/BowieState2023\">Click Here To Register<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Benefits of Participating in the Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understanding the financial market<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learning diversification and investment strategies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding the money management and risk management techniques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improves your critical thinking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resume booster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Opportunity to work in a financial or investment firm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Official Rules<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The challenge is free and open to all students currently enrolled at Morgan State University and Bowie State University in the Fall 2023 semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students may only enter once with an active student email address and proof of enrollment if declared a winner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registration opens Monday, September 18th, 2023, and closes at 11:59 PM ET October 13th, 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Competition begins Monday, October 2<sup>nd<\/sup> , 2023, and will run through 11:59 PM ET on Friday, December 8th, 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students will start with a virtual $100,000 in virtual cash.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student can trade U.S. stocks and ETFs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There will be a position limit enforced so students cannot invest more than 10% of their money in any one security.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All participants will be required to use the website\u2019s trade journal feature to document their decisions for making their trades.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Day trading, short selling and buying on margin are NOT allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be declared a winner, participants MUST<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a positive portfolio return greater than their $100,000 beginning cash balance provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Placed a minimum of 20 trades during the event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must have placed trades in October, November and December.
