prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Winners will be determined based on their overall portfolio return, subject to the rules below<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cash prizes provided by the Dean\u2019s office, separately for undergraduate and graduate participants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;Prize = $300<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;Prize = $200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3<sup>rd<\/sup>&nbsp;Prize = $100<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-51a0cb03049f7c9dfc80f831ba5e0776\" style=\"text-decoration:underline\"><strong>Trading rules and mandatory assignments<\/strong>:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students will start with $100,000 in virtual cash.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each contestant should place <strong>at least one trade per week<\/strong> (including Spring break) and <strong>at least 30 trades during the competition<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students can trade U.S. stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and bonds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There will be a position limit enforced so students cannot invest more than 10% of their money in any one security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All participants will be required to use the website\u2019s trade journal feature to document their decisions for making their trades.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short selling and buying on margin are NOT allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students will need to complete the following <strong>mandatory finance lessons<\/strong>, specific to investing, on StockTrak by the closing date of the competition to be eligible for the prize:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A simple explanation of ETFs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The pros and cons of mutual funds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How to do investing research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watch Video &#8211; Using Limit Buy Orders.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watch Video &#8211; Using Limit Sell Orders.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watch Video \u2013 Using Stop&nbsp; Orders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watch Video &#8211;
